John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. (JBSS) operates five high-capacity, state-of-the-art production facilities, three of which are strategically located in primary nut growing regions. We believe that the strategic locations of these facilities, coupled with our commitment to advanced technology, are major contributors to the quality and freshness of our nut products.
Corporate Headquarters
ELGIN, ILLINOIS
Sitting on a 95 acre campus, with the most advanced automation in the nut industry, this state-of-the art 1,000,000 square foot facility is the Corporate Headquarters for JBSS. Peanuts and tree nuts are segregated from the time they enter the building. Cooler capacity is 13 million pounds. This ensures nuts are kept fresh prior to packing. In addition to advanced roasting and processing capabilities; chocolate confections, granola and sesame sticks are also manufactured here. Advanced roasting and processing lines coupled with high speed can, jar and flexible packaging lines offer some of the most advanced nut solutions available. Seventy-five docks ensure full service distribution is handled with ease. A fully equipped Research and Development lab and highly regarded Quality Assurance department complete this innovative facility.
BAINBRIDGE, GEORGIA
The only fully integrated peanut processing facility in the U.S. is a sprawling 245,000 square feet. Over 120 million pounds of runner type peanuts are shelled and processed annually. Shelling, blanching, granulating and peanut butter production are among the capabilities of this facility. Cold storage capacity totals 9 million pounds.
GUSTINE, CALIFORNIA
Almonds and walnuts reign supreme at this 250,000 square foot facility located in the heart of the Central Valley. This facility offers the latest in technological advancements to shell, process, package and store walnuts. A dedicated almond-only processing room offers customers flexibility on allergen declarations. Cold storage capacity of walnuts is 50 million pounds. Oil, dry roasting and custom package capabilities are available for both almonds and walnuts. Almond and cashew butter is produced at this facility.
SELMA, TEXAS
Located in the pecan growing region in the Southern U.S., this 300,000 square foot facility can shell 70 million pounds of pecans annually. It has packaging and bulk refrigerated cold storage capable of storing 60 million pounds of in-shell pecans. This facility custom packages tree nuts, and offers oil and dry roasting capabilities.
LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA
This 298,000 square foot facility is our primary home of our snack bar manufacturing operation. With the capability to produce cold-rolled, baked, extruded and enrobed bars as well as granola, this facility features state of the art production and packaging offerings.
