Helpful Party Planning Tips
The secret to any party's success is good food, good company and great planning. Here are a few creative ideas to help start you on your way to a fantastic party or intimate get-together.
PICK A THEME
It's a great starting point for determining everything from your invitation style, to decorations, to the menu.

Great Themes to Consider:
Hawaiian Luau
Mardi Gras
Roaring Twenties
Wild West
Tailgate
Mexican Fiesta
Wine & Cheese
Sixties Flashback
Barbeque
Spooky Night
Carnival
INVITE YOUR GUESTS
Determine a guest list at least two weeks in advance for casual gatherings and up to six weeks for formal occasions. Check out online invitation sites for free and easy ways to invite guests and keep track of RSVPs.
CREATE A MENU
Determine the types of food you'd like to serve. Appetizers and cocktails? A five-course meal? Or something in between? Then, check out our recipe section for ideas. After selecting your dishes, make a detailed grocery list to stay on track and on budget. And don't shy away from store-prepared items if it will save you valuable time.
BE READY
Cook and prepare ahead of time as much as possible. Pre-slice or chop recipe ingredients, and choose desserts and appetizers that are easy to make in advance. Another way to save time is with our Fisher Chef's Naturals Cooking and Baking Nuts and our Culinary Touch Cooking and Baking Add-Ins and Toppings, which are packaged recipe-ready! Just open the bag and pour.
TAKE STOCK
The day before the event, do a simple inventory of the dishes, linens, glassware and serving pieces you wish to use. Don't forget other essentials such as beverages, garnishes, toothpicks and music.
EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED
It's not uncommon for your guest list to grow at the last minute. Be ready with snack treats such as our Sweet Chipotle Walnuts or Honey Nut Crunch recipes. Perfect alongside cocktails, these can be made up to a week in advance.

We hope these tips help you plan your event. There's no doubt that with Fisher, it'll be a party your guests won't forget.
